Two Cell Phones paired to car via Bluetooth

2011 FX35 RWD
Will be traveling out of town this weekend and will have my son with me. Both my phone and his phone is paired to the car. Question= I we both get into the car together I believe my phone will pair and not his because I am first on the list, but, if I turn mine off while paired will his then automatically pair if his has been on or would he have to have his off before I turn mine off and then turn his on and It would then automatically pair to the car? Hopefully I have made this long statement understandable LOL

i think the car automatically detects cellphones in order of priority, so yes, after yours is turned off your son's phone should pair (maybe after a 30 second delay)
 
I've also found that of the 2nd phone is there first, it will be the one the car pairs to. My phone is priority/1st one programed, but if my wife gets in the apartment and starts it, her phone will connect and mine won't when I get in. This only happened twice so not sure if it was a fluke.
