Transmission Dip Stick question

Hi, funny that the posting title does sound like a stupid "dip stick" question, but I just really need to know:

I recently went to grease monkey (stealerships are closed on sundays here) to have my transmission fluid flushed and got home, just to notice that they forgot to replace the bolt that holds the dipstick in place. Now my stupid question is: is this bolt important? does it somehow provide some ground to the operation of the car? or does it simply just hold the stick in place?

Please do let me know thank you all in advance. Stupid question, yes, i know. but i just need to know. thank you all.

btw, why put a bolt on the transmission dipstick and not on the oil dip stick...thats why im concerned. thanks again!

Yes it is important because this bolt keep everything firm and in place like it should...Eventually the dipstick holder will become less secure to the car motor...I don't why these mechanics think they know more than the manufacture...
