For Infinity 04 M45 with automatic/manual option transmission, I have been reading a lot of different stuff about using other fluids other than Nissan Matic-J but also read that Nissan fluid is Castrol Transmax J that sells to Nissan. Thoughts on switching or having a good brand to switch to?

*note: I do tend to run it hard sometimes

Any fluid that is JASO 1A standard is fine. Matic J is made by Castrol to that spec. Matic J is a synthetic blend, Matic S is full synthetic. Really any multi vehicle synthetic fluid would be fine as long as they are JASO 1A standard. I'm running Mobil1 and it's been fine.
