Top Speed Pro 1 carbon fiber cold air intake installed!

It fits fine you just have go play around with the hose routing. They are located in the US no need for a GB!

yea. vq35hr. need a mew intake. give me a text buddy. 747-333-9996 im in the glendale area in California.

I don't think they will fit man.. they are made for VQ37VHR motor, like 370z and 350z don't share parts, I think it's the same thing here.

Actually, I think they might fit according to the manufacturer. Was looking at getting K&N drop ins when I ran into their intake on ebay.

They should fit. I bought the same ones from that vendor except I went for the stainless steel pipe rather than the carbon fibre one. I have a 09FX.

I'm actually ordering mine from their website for $351 shipped from their company in Dallas. I talked to the tech and business manager about it. They said one may see 5 to 10% gains. However, they didn't dyno it. They noticed an improvement in overall performance and sound in testing it out. No check engine lights. I'll give it a try when it gets here in a day and update on a different thread. It uses K&N conical filters as well .

Yup noober is right, there was a member here years back who was the first to install a Fujita prototype intake on a 2nd gen at Fujita in California and they noticed no gains and a loss in about 2hp. That's why they canned production of the intake as it wasn't worth it to produce if there was no gains.

Was really hoping for even a small gain; heck even 5hp. Just wanted a more aggressive sound really. Had read the threads and everything about this and kind of knew it was a gamble. So a 2HP loss, eh? There is an UpRev and Cobb Tuning here in Austin. I might as well dyno it before and after the intake goes on. I'm just wondering why the FX35 doesn't produce gain with the intake. I've owned three other VQ engine cars from a 95 Maxima, 05 Maxima, and currently Nismo 370z. All those cars have seen gains from even short ram intakes.

Just curious, cycy89; why do you want to sell your intake? Is it because it's not what you expected? Did you ever get it tuned after the install?

You can't expect to see performance results when the car hasn't been programmed to take advantage of them. My opinion would be to get a tune, then verify the results on a dyno.

I could be be missing the backstory here. Just throwing my two cents in.

Also, don't expect to see massive gains without also upgrading your exhaust.

im pretty sure you'll need a tune to go with this intake. im trying to order an uprev osiris standard from the website. which do i have to order? theyre core models are g37,g35,350/370z

I got the intake last week, and I'm looking to install it tomorrow. Hopefully, I can get it done at Uprev. I was surprised how small the K&N filters that came with it are. The ones on my Gen 3 Stillen kit for my Nismo 370z are almost 1 1/2 times the size of these ones. I'm thinking of going with bigger K&N cone filters if they can fit.

So... I stopped by UpRev to inquire about the intake setup. I spoke to Omar. He echoed what many on here have said about the various short-ram intakes: negligible gains and chance for more hot air as opposed to cooler air getting into the intakes. The intake would really only give a better sound due to losing the accordion-style plastic hoses that insulate sound. He recommended using Z tubes instead coupled to the stock airboxes with K&N filter drop-ins. He also stated one could get the Ark G37/370Z R-spec test pipes for more bang for the buck and get the tune which is actually available for the FX35: ignititon timing, A/F ratios, top speed/rev limiter removal off the top of my head.
