Well its time to replace my tires on 2006 Fx 35!
Went to Discount tire this morn they recommend some michelins that where 1300.00 a set
so i called around and got several recommendations. Any suggestions?
And how are Falkens Hankooks and Kumhos?

Thank you for any info!

+1 on the Hankook. I am running the Hankook Ventus ST 275/45r20. Very quiet ride. Definitly didn't spend $1300 on them either.

Yoko's and Hankook tend to be the long fan favorites. I would only look at those for a serious tire purchase on the FX. Shop around and you should be able to find 4 with mount, balance, tax, and sensors for well under $1k.

I had Falken ST/Z-04 in stock size on stock wheels and got 80K miles. Wish I'd bought them again instead of Yoko's. But that's me. Just FYI, I bought the Yoko's online from Discount Tire Direct, which is the same company as Discount Tire. They charged me no tax (or freight as I recall) even though there are DT shops in my state. Then I got them mounted at DT for a little over $100.

Great in snow -- for an all season. The thread depth starting out is very deep and the rubber does stay somewhat soft.

Clearly not as good as winter tires, but if I had to use an all-season for winter, Hankook RH06 would be it.

Price is good, quality is good, looks are good, all-season capabilities are good, thread rating is good (I used them for 75k miles) -- i really can't find a fault...

This is your tire. Dont even question it

though not sure how it is in snow. I take it you get some there.
