Thinking of buying

Well I am currently a 07 Lexus is350 owner. Starfire pearl in color Mark levinson nav with 15 speaker surround. Parking assist, etc..

I hit the 50k mile mark today, and had thoughts on trading it in before I get anymore depreciation. I work as a National sales manager and live on the road. I am in and out of power plants all day. So the roads can def. be pretty nasty.

I stopped in at the local infiniti dealership today. I originally had thoughts on getting a g35 sedan. But then noticed the fx35. I could really use the extra space for hauling equipment and entertaining clients.

Here's the question.
They have a demo 08 with pretty low miles Fully loaded and listed @ 38k or I can go with a 09 blk / blk navi for 44 ish. Both are awd.
 
Welcome to the Scene. I would go with the 09 eventhough I am more partial to the Gen1 body style but I don't really like demos either.
 
Hmm... I have not had a chance to look at the 08 yet. He called just after I left. I am out of town till next Friday. I looked up the rebates, but they end on the 30th.

Any idea what the new rebates if any will be?
 
09 or bust. I'm always iffy on demos. I always drive it crazy when I go on test drives.... that's what demo cars are for.
 
+1 no demos. People floor 'em when they're cold. W/ so many bucks on the table, I always wnt to be the first farter in a new car anyway. :tongue:
 
welcome to the scene! while shopping for a new vehicle recently (for someone else - not me) i came across an 09 FX35 with a lot of toys for ~$39k. it had 6800 miles on it. i'm a big fan of the newsed vehicles because a ton of the depreciation is gone already. i'd call around to a few places or search on the internet for some deals. there's definitely one out there for you. i practically STOLE mine lol - at least that's how i feel.

to me, an 08 demo is already 2 years old and really not worth it for "like new" prices. plus, it's gonna be beat to shit by everyone who wants to test drive an FX. like it was said earlier, it's a demo. it isn't idled around the block so you see how you look in the driver's seat lol.

in my opinion, i'd be looking at the 09 if you like the body style. find one that's maybe used and turned in. there will be some people out there who 1. can't afford it. or 2. don't like it and trade it in and don't care about getting nailed.

(i can pass the info along about the 09 if you want too) it's not super far away if you don't mind coming to chicago. + it'll be an excuse to get together with a couple of FXers and BBQ.
 
Well I decided to buy a 09 fx. They only have one on site which is graphite in color. He is searching for either a white / tan, or black / tan. AWD

I'll keep you guys posted.

i think you made the right decision, with all that being said about the demo i wouldn't wanna get it neither..
