thinking about getting 03 infiniti fx35..

How many miles? Who are you buying it from? A 7 year old used car is always a risk.
If the price is right you can aford alittle more risk.

Most important thing would be to check the service history- call a dealer with the vin number - they can give you the whole picture as far as routine maintenance and problems repaired in warranty.
 
i really want 06 due to the interior change but my budget, which is under $20k, thus my range is between 03-05. I saw 03 with 35k miles for $17999.
