Terrible service from Tustin Infiniti and Infiniti Consumer Affairs

Had a rubbing/creaking noise from my steering wheel on cold morning for my 2006 FX35 and the car has been to the dealership FOUR times and on the fifth try they said the sound is normal and that there is nothing they can do about it. I do not understand if the noise from the steering wheel is normal then why did they try to fix it 4 times? Called infiniti consumer affairs and they basically said "too bad." Very disappointed in my first infiniti and will be my last. Infiniti service has been nothing but terrible. I had this fx35 for less then a year and I have been in the dealership numerous times for the same things (front brakes/steering wheel noise/dash board/bad shocks/faded trims/peeling arm rest/delay in shift in tranny/lost of 2 qt of oil in 3k miles is normal?/2 bad window motor/brake pedal replaced/etc.). I am still in talks with Infinti consumer affairs, lets see what happens.

2006 fx35 with 47k miles and yes i bought it used from metro infiniti. It is still in warranty, why does it matter if it was a used car, an 06 with 47k miles shouldn't have all of these problems. On top of that, i think the wheel bearings on the front suspension is going out. I hear s squeaking noise from the front suspension going over bumps .

50 is usually when stuff like that begins to "go"
maybe the previous owner was abusive

Stop making EXCUSES for infiniti, Stuff should not "go" at 50k miles on a modern car that is supposedly well built with premium materials/workmanship. Maybe on a KIA stuff like this should go at 50k. The car is in pristine condition inside and out other then the mechanical issues. Service records indicate a car that was well taken care of.

I agree, I'm at 80k miles with non of the issues mentioned.

Maybe you should go take Midol, then come back and continue.
sounds like you got a car built on a Monday or Friday

^this
exactly. It happens.
My FX is an 05 and has 70kish and I have had basically zero issues besides the trim fading and my seat side cracking. Remember, in the end, an Infiniti is just a nicer Nissan. even on lambos, etc. theres always the one car that has issues, or the one G35 sedan that is somehow faster on the track than the others, it happens. Not everything can be perfect. Have you looked under your car? Nissans rust so much more easily than a lot of other manufacturers.

Wheel bearings/hub for this car wasn't properly designed. So they go around 50k miles. Car nowadays are thrown together with "modular" parts between many different platforms and products to keep cost down. Doesn't matter the brand, they all do it.

I do not care if the car was built on Christmas day, i understand that nothing is perfect (you think all of these problems came up in one day, i had to deal with all of them for the last year that i have owned the car and i have been VERY patient until now). I bought a car that comes with a warranty that guarantees that my car will be fixed if there are any problems with it. So inifiti, fix the problem. Telling me that it is normal for my steering wheel to make noise every morning until it warms up is BS.

agree. They should fix all that stuff if it's under warranty. But dont be a hater. The cars are good, but some dealerships are not.

sheesh.. sorry to hear that bro.. yes there are a few thing i dont like about my FX brakes suck really bad.. steering wheel do the cha cha cha when i press on the brake if i'm going over 80.. so i talked to the dealer and they wanted to charge me a arm and a leg.. i was like F u!! asked a few questions here( Thank you IS and puff solved it my self.. brand new rotors $259.00, brand new brake pads 80ish..not having to see the steering wheel shake due to f up rotors mother F ign priceless!!!!

i fixed 2 problem with one solution.. brake performance and my steering wheel.. sometime the best mechanic is yourself.... cause you def know whats going wrong with your vehicle.

try a different dealership if you havent done that already..

sorry to hear about your experience with the FX.. there is always a messed up one out there...

sorry to hear that, and i agree with a comment above saying that you should take it to Metro. Cheryl at metro has been very helpful with many members here and i am sure she will be glad to assist you.

Good luck with your car, and hope that the matters are resolved soon so you can enjoy it!

that sucks. My experience has been different, 110K miles and none of your issue.
