i have a 05 fx35 and the other day i was getting off i noticed that i have a tear/cut on the leather seats and i just want to know is there anyway i can repair it. is there anything i can get to repair it? thanks

If you are still under warranty, the dealer will replace it for you but if it has expired then all you can do is try and get it reupholstered. My driver seat lower side left side had a few cracks/tears and it was replaced under warranty.

Hey..

I have a 2005 FX45 and the sides of the seats were cracking and tore.

I used my Local Fibrenew guy and they fixed it 100%.

fibrenew dot com
werepairleather dot com

Amazed with the work and cost me next to nothing.
Best part is you can't even tell

seats are NOT covered with extended warranty... i just learned this last week. dealer has a guy that will fix the tear for cheap or reskin it. i forget the price offhand but it was a lot cheaper than i imagined so i will be getting it reskinned

sorry to bump this old thread. I was helping my gf move few days ago and of course she had so much shit it fill up the whole fx. I just discover a rip on the back the the back seat on the leather part and the roof piece seems to be a little off on the back right side too. Needless to say I'm totally heart broken right now.

My baby is still under warranty, will the warranty cover rips in the back seat and maybe the roof piece? (the leather seat is my priority) If not anybody know how much they charge and the process? Do they replace the whole cover or just patch it up?

Last time I was at the dealership bitching about the close to cracking front driver seat and they told me there is nothing they can do to fix it other than to replace the whole seat for $5000, does that apply for the back seat as wel or are they bullshitting me?

I honestly feel my heart sank when I discouver the rip just now...

^^ yea i started that thread but i think this should be a different issue? not looking for change out the whole seat just if the rip can be fix as cheaply as possible. The other thread is Infiniti's problem for making crappy seats but this one... its my own fault.

If warranty can cover it great, if not I just want to know how to go about fixing it as I have never wreck the leather of my car before :(
