Tanabe Hyper Medallion Exhaust

Got my hands on a used one from g35driver. Had one on my 350z with the kinetix hfc and it sounded great. Anyway took it to get it installed and the guy said the bends were wrong in the mid pipe (g35 midpipe) to line up correctly once connected to the y. I guess there was a gap at the flange (midpipe/axle). He also said the midpipe was hitting on the heat shield. Anyway just wondering if anyone else has tried to install this system. I have it listed locally for sale now but if it doesn't sell I may just keep it and get the custom work done.

Any possibility of installing the tanabe muffler to the OEM midpipe instead? Thats what i did with another g35 exhaust and it worked out. Just had to get the tips extended/aligned

Nope. I tried the angle is way off to match up to the stock midpipe. They have to go together. I think that's why they only sell them together.

Maybe I'll just trade this for the Greddy sp2 axle back. It would be a good straight trade.

If you have ever heard the tanabe with the kinetix it is really nice. I had lots of comments when I had my 350z.

Did you have any rasp with the Kinetix hfc's?
