Tail light out, is this just as simple as replacing the bulb?

My right tail light (brake/blinker) went out yesterday. Can I simply replace the bulb and expect it to work? I ask because prior to it going out there were a few spots within the light that appeared to be out. But there's only one bulb so I'm confused.... In case it's not obvious I have almost zero car knowledge. But I can follow directions, which I was happy to find on this site, so I'm thinking I can handle this myself. We'll see...

Welcome to the Scene.

the rear brake lights and blinkers are LED based, so each dot is a single LED. best to search ebay for a replacement or (if you are diy person) open the taillight and resolider using replacement LEDs.

The FX taillights are LED. The LEDs are none replaceable. You need to replace the entire taillights as a unit. Check ebay for good used ones.

Are the 09+ LED taillights also? They don't look LED to me. Benz, new Audi, etc LED tails definitely look LED to me.
