Structure Re-enforcement - Structure Foam - Suggestions??

Hey Guys,

I was discussing my buddy while having my mom's old Lexus LS400 for maintenance check. My buddy is looking into putting the close-cell structure foam for his Miata and couple other cars at the rocker and main cross-member. It will increase the structure stiffness of the FX for handling. The foaming is known second to roll-cage in terms of stiffness.

I am thinking of doing the same thing. Anyone has any recommendation or suggestion for that?

Here is the link.

Here is the youtube link showing how hard that foam is.

Apparently a lot of Luxury cars use this type of foam to stiffen up the chassis for handling and safety purpose. Like the BMW 7 series, Mercedez, S series, Luxus LS, etc.

I am thinking just doing the rocker and the main cross member and skill the A & B Piller due to the side airbag.

What do you guys think?
