Strange clicking

OK, i know this is gonna sound dumb, but i have this clicking noise coming from the passenger side area, I want to say its around the B-Pillar or by the Oh-Shit-handle, Its doing it every time i hit a small bump, and it sounds like a plastic on plastic click,

How do you remove the B-pillar, I want to remove it to see if anything is loose.. I want to take it to the dealer but im not sure if they will cover it or even bother to see were its coming from..im hoping someone had this problem to and can direct me to a fix..
 
Im not sure what your talking about, But its not the Metal on metal sound coming from the outside ?

Messed up thing is, It wasnt there when i bought the FX, It just started a couple days ago..

Its definatly not that, and its definatly coming from the inside, what ever it is its on the passenger side, Cause when i hit a small bump i will hear it, Also if i yank the stearing wheel left right real quick i will hear it again..
 
bro i have this problem.. dont know the technical name for it. but is the part that make the emergency brake work.. it is just loose.. does it make the clicking sound everytime?

or doe it only make it everytime that you hit a pot hole?
 
wow i got my answer before i post my question.. if you ever get a chanc eto remove your rotors.. dont know if the sound come from the rear of the front. make sure to look in between the emergecy brake pads there is a small part right at the middle connected with wire.. if you touch that part and it wiggles freely.. thats your problem...

its very annoying cause everytime you hit a pot hole it make that freaking clicking sound..

the sound on my FX comes from the rear passenger wheel.

So i should remove all the rotors and check ?

And yes its every time i hit a pothole and its coming from the front passenger side..

Nope, it's just that people were mentioning things that I didn't think made a noise from there.
 
A way to check if it is a loose ebrake wire is to push down on the ebrake 1 or 2 clicks then drive over a bump. If the rattle goes away you have your answer but if it doesnt then it is something else. Also, open the window to listen to the rattle it may sound like it is coming from the b-pillar when in fact it is a echoing effect from the outside.

I will try this tomorrow, I know when i did this it got rid of the metal on metal sound from underneath, Guess we will see what happens

There is a ticking, clicking, thumping, or knocking noise heard in the passenger compartment at idle. The noisecould be from the engine compartment.
ACTION
•With the engine idling, feel the fuel damper hose while the noise is occurring.
The fuel damper hose is located on the Bank 1 side of the engine.
All V6 vehicles Passenger side
All V8 vehicles Driver side of engine

•If the vibration of the fuel damper hose coincides with the noise heard inside the vehicle, replace the fuel
damper and attached hose on that cylinder bank (Bank 1).
•See the respective ESM and Engine Mechanical (EM) section for replacement of the damper with hose.

+1 on DR post.. thats how i found out.. just found a pothole that wouldhelp your FX make the clicking sound.. then back up press gently on the ebrake and roll over the pathole again. if it doesnt make the sound while you roll over it while pressing the ebrake, then its a that loose piece that i told you about.. it doesnt make the clicking sound cause there is enought tension on the ebrake line that it doesnt let it freely bounce..

talking about this get me mad tho. lol i have to fix that problem soon.. i think that by reajusting the tension of the Ebrake should solve the problem.. or you can just try to locate which wheel is it that its coming from remove the rotors and try to secured it some how.
 
I have an occasional click/rattle by my passenger seatbelt area, never really tried to figure it out though.

As for the p-brake that would be more of an external sound coming from the rear, more noticeable with the windows down. As doc said to test this, 1 click of the p-brake and drive over a speed bump. If the rear rattle is gone...you need to adjust the parking brake. We have threads about adjusting your brakes in the write-up section.
