Hey guys forgot to pay on time and now a 300 ticket is 600. An collection agency is handling it.. Anyway i could go to court and get it deducted back to 300? Make up a story? change of address?
 
this wasnt a mistake, i totally forgot about it. The money that i set aside for my shocks, bearings are gone..
 
You can go to the court and plea your case but I highly doubt that they will rule in your favor. You can make up reasons or simply say you didn't have enough money back then but you do now but they will definitely blame you for not contacting the court for extension period before the due date.
 
i did too and apparently one of the collection agency rules is if you pay in 10 days full they will deduct 150 from the total..i told them 200 they wouldn't even consider it..

But i want to go to court first see what i can do, my ft
 
What if you end up gaining nothing from court? Now you get to pay the $600 plus court fees. I'd be happy just getting $150 taken off.
 
If you feel like it, then go to court and tell the judge you just forgot about it.. You may get your fee reduced in exchange for court fees.. Be sincere and contrite and if you catch the judge on a good day....

If you go to court you have to get in under the collection 10 days or you are burning your grace time. I agree with Stu on this though, USD$150.00 Vs. court time and potential cost sounds like a potential loss.
 
i was caught on a radar gun doing 50 at a 35 mph zone, he got me on my babys (fx35) favorite curve up by UCLA on sunset..
Thanks guys for the support, yes it was a mistake for speeding but man that curve was so fun and risky..
