I have been toying with idea of selling my FX and this past weekend i decided that i wanted to get rid of it. It is a fun car but i really don't want to be bothered with a car payment at the moment. I want to start tracking my motorcycle and eventually, i would like to get a cls63 amg benz and with that being said i want to ask for IS opinion on what would be a fair price to ask for this car. I will document the issues it has etc.

The basics

05 fx35 fully loaded and optioned out

silver w/ blk interior
back up camera
lane change warning
intelligent cruise
keyless start
back up camera
Navigation
rear entertainment
88k miles and climbing
keyless entry

aftermarket

stillen stage 3 supercharged
stillen exhaust
stillen intake
stillen strut tower bar
20" zinik chrome wheels
tinted windows
l.e.d lilcense plate lights
h.i.d fogs

the bad

1) a few dents around the car. more noticeable on the driver side front
2) gear on driver side seat bottom screwed up. so no forward/rear motion
3) cruise control is not working properly. will not engage

I will post some pics but give me your input on how much i should sell this car for? i think i lucked out finding this gem but i am not a huge fan of this car. Yes, it is fun but i came from an M3 to this and i think that my type of car would be an E90 m3 or a CLS63 amg benz. HELP!!!!

I think it will be hard to price this FX because the demand for a supercharged FX really isn't there other than like IS. Ill be interested in what people think this will go for. I don't even really have an educated guess at this.

Seems like the front seat should be something that could be fixed before selling though.

If you came from the BMW world, then you should see that parting it out and selling the car stock will yield you more money. You could get $3-4K for the aftermarket stuff. If you sell it as is, you won't get much more than stock if that. I'd try to fix the issues before selling too. It won't cost that much to fix, but if you don't, it will cut your price drastically. It's psychological, no one wants to buy a car with issues, even minor ones.

i was thinking that shadow.

The car came with the supercharger and i guess if i looked hard enough i would be able to figure out how to remove everything. I kinda lucked out getting this car, i will fix everything and then post it on car enthusiast sites etc. and see what comes out of it.

The supercharger is nice, but it may work against you when it comes to finding a buyer. I say this because the car has a damaged exterior, broken drivers seat, and broken cruise control. If I was a potential buyer I would walk away, because I would worry about the maintenance done on the car and the service life of the engine. The FX engine and transmission was not designed to be supercharged, yeah it might be good now, but what kind of additional internal stress has been put on the engine and transmission? I would not take the chance. The custom wheels can be a good thing, but it may turn some buyers away because it is too personal, unless they like those particular wheels. To get your best price, I would put the stock wheels back on it and fix the defects. If not, you may not get a very good price on it. Maybe 12k as is, being nice due to the low miles. If the problems were fixed and the stock wheels was reinstalled, you could get upwards of 17k due to the low miles and great presentation.
