so.. finally got around to installing the UTR intake today. beautiful day, washed/waxed the car for the sunday meet and decided to get one mod in before the meet.
I was trying to put the intake in when one of the clamps that secure the acordian piece to the intake fell into the engine bay. This clamp feel near down into the engine bay near the upper acordian piece and not near the pulleys. My friends and i looked for a hour and couldn't see it. I went under the car and whacked the skid plate (not sure if that is what it is) and we didnt hear it. We then stuck a magnet on a stick down there only to conclude that the friking car is magnetic, so the clamp is prob stuck onto something. We finished installing the intake using a spare clamp and started it up - no problems or funny sounds. I drove over some speed bumps to try to get it to fall out without luck. Slammed on brakes, etc etc.
I was wondering if i should be worried or just leave the clamp in the engine bay? Feeling pretty stupid now lol... Ege's guide to installing the intake even said "be careful not to drop the clamps into the engine bay." Doh
