So close! Flying out soon to pick up my new to me FX50

2011 FX50
Have been researching SUVs in this performance range for a while, since my V8 Jeep took a dump on me, and always came back to the FX50.

I have probably spent 100+ hours researching everything I can about this beast, and am excited to say that one finally hit the market, with the miles and price I wanted, and I will be flying out to pick it up in the next couple of weeks!

Already have a long list of mods I want to do to it asap.

The Jeep was not, mainly due to my experiences with Jeep so far being of such disappointment, that I won't own another for a very very long time.

The Macan was, but the turbo was out of my price range, and the cayenne was considered too. What caused me to choose the FX over the Porsches, was reliability and cost of repair. I know that Porsches are touted as being pretty good in terms of reliability, for the most part, but should anything break, they seem to be insanely expensive to fix.

The other factor was the v8. I absolutely love the low throaty roar of a v8, so the FX won! :D
 
Was there a few years ago. Crazy to find these rock formations within an urban area.

Just passed through! But it was a fun little drive, now stuck going through the oh so unattractive flat lands of west Texad.

Pretty close. I'll be doing everything from the grill, window trim and vent, to the rear trim and emblems. Plus the wheels and rails. Then I need the shark fin, muffler delete, and front/rear dashcam.
 
Pretty much my list too lol, we have the same front end and I plan on upgrading it to a 2017 grill and new bumper.. should be done that part by next week.. I'll post pics in my garage.. Keep us updated on your upgrades, we love to see lol..

Nice! Look forward to seeing that. I actually prefer the 09-11 grill, myself. Wouldn't have turned down a 12/13 because of it, but glad I found an early 11. :D
 
To me it's not ugly but the shape of the outside in general looks much better to me, especially flowing with headlights and hood. I feel as though the 17 it has the same pattern almost as the 09-11 just more of it layerd together.. looks like its sort of drooling to me..

Oh! I was thinking of the 2012 grill with the blades. I do like the 2017 grill and bumper, after checking out some pictures. Idk if I like it enough to pay a lot of cash, but maybe at some point. How much does infiniti charge for it?
