Smart remote and beepimg

Drove to a local coffee shop and when I got out of the FX it started to beep.

Tried to lock the doors with the smart remote, however that reactivated the beeping, and what appeared to be a red icon of a battery was flashing on the dashboard.

I locked it with the key. Hour later I drove home.

Now it appears to lock and open OK with the remote.

Ideas?

Some times it has a hickup like that..

Might be that you just need to replace your Smart Remote Battery...

Does the Inteligen Key Icon flash red when you are in the FX and flash at you while you are truning on your FX..? this is an indicator that you need to replace the battery..

I think you didnt turn it off all the way. when you get off the car it kept beeping and you can't lock it.

You mean that somehow the ignition switch was not completely turned off ?

I usually have it in by pocket

But I have not seen any activity from the smart remote.

+1..... or if one of the doors are not completly colosed..

On your Dash.. It displays it in the center between the Speed and RPM display.

You can't miss it.. It turns Green when you are in the car with it and it flashes red when you step out of the car while running....

The icon on the dash will flash red.

That what was flashing and beeping. However now it appears to be OK.

I guess I will go with the fact that I did not turn it off completely when I got out
