I have owned this 2008 FX35 for about three months. The sirius reception is not very good. I guess I am using the previously subscribed service from the original owner.
The problem is--
I have no reception while parked in garage (metal goors)
Reception fades in and out in certain areas.
Reception has static and goes out completely in "hilly" situations.
I have excellent reception from FM and AM Radio.
I have checked the rear, top mounted, antenna as best I know how.
Car is still under warranty---35K miles----until July 2012.
Surely something is wrong--If this is normal, I definately won't renew!!
 
I have Sirius on my FX45 and it fades in the garage. It has also faded during bad weather. It is a satellite link and anything that interrupts the link can mess up your reception. Have you called Sirius? They can probably give you the subscription info if you give the the radio ID. You can get it my tuning to Channel 0 and pushing in to the tune button. They have an intro program for $24.95 for six months, but you have to ask for it.

THANKS----My reception is the same regardless of weather conditions. I will check with Sirius.
