OK, so I bought these sylvania silverstar ultra fogs while I was down in the states for pretty cheap. I think they were $30 for two after an instant rebate. They are supposed to be brighter than stock and whiter as well.

A little dissapointing. They are a tiny bit whiter when viewed from about six feet away but the further back you get the more they seem like the stock fogs. Somewhat yellow. I don't plan on changing the fogs to Zenon but I will try the Hoen Zenonmatch next time. Maybe they are a little closer to the stock. I'll try to post photos later. Oddly, I can't hook my camera to my home computer.

Otherwise, if you have to change your fogs ( ie. they are burnt out) these are pretty good but if you are looking to approximate your Zenons look elsewhere.

I've added photos showing the ultra's on the right and the stock's on the left.

IMO, the Hoen fogs match the stock color very well, but as soon as you get a set of 6000K or more, the color difference makes you think the fogs are stock colored. since my bulb went out, i have a set of 4500K Mtecs in there right now until i get a set of 6000K and the hoen fogs match excellently.

to me it seems like the heon fogs are a bit bluer than stock...brian we can meet up if you want to see what the Heon fogs look like in person
That would be cool Gary. I'd like to compare these silverstars to your Hoens side by side so I know what to expect. Where did you buy your Hoen's?

I had Hoen and they lasted good 4 months before they were shooting upwards for some retarded reason. When I first purchased Hoen, they were noticeably more blue in comparison to stock headlights.... I had to change HID bulbs 8k. When I changed my HID bulbs to 8k, the Hoens looked stock (orangish) in comparison to 8k.

I personally would not purchase another set of Hoen again, but if you really want to color match without going HID fogs, you should consider changing your stock HID bulbs to 6k as well.
