Hey guys and gals,
I've got this issue with my FX today. I went out of town for 13 days, when I came back today I turned on the FX and didnt notice anything different. When I go back into it for a second time I notice that the Service Engine Soon light had come on. I don't feel any difference in the motor when I drive it, but am not really sure if I should be concerned. Can you guys give me some tips on what it may be or what I can try before going to the shop?

I would just disconnect the battery and clear the code. You probably got a slight build up of some kind of dirt somewhere setting off a sensor from sitting for so long. If the ses comes back take it in to an auto parts place and get the codes read. Post them up and we'll see.

Worked like a champ! I actually had to do it twice. The first time I guess I didnt leave the cable off long enough for the comp to reset because the radio was still playing the CD and the seat memory went back to my setting, but the second time it worked!! Thanx "ILOVEMYFX" you saved me some $$. I appreciate it.

For future reference you can pump the brakes a few times to discharge any stored energy in the system and clear the codes faster. Let us know if the light comes back on

I was gonna say it could be the infamous loose gas cap, but sounds like you got it under control.
