Hi,

I havent drove my car in about 4 weeks and I think my rear driver side brakes are seized. Are there any fixes other than swapping out the calipers to fix stuck brakes? If not does anyone know the part# for rear driver side brake calipers? Does anyone know if seized brakes is covered under the extended warranty plan? or are seized brakes considered wear and tear since there is actually a moving part? Thanks for the help!

most likely you will need to change the caliper along with the pads. or first you can try taking the parts out by force to inspect their condition. and yes it is wear and tear so highly doubt warranty is going to apply here.

Thanks for your help. I was afraid of that. Do u know y brakes get seized? Maybe I can prevent it in the future. Thanks.

Does anyone know the part# for the rear driver side caliper? Maybe J3FF3R$0N can come to the rescue again :wink (2): And also are the rear oem pads the same for 2003-2005 and 2006-2008? I think the fronts are different but not sure about the rears. I came up with part# 44060 AL586 for rear oem brake pads can anyone confirm these are correct before I pull the trigger to order these?

Another noob question is if I change out the brake caliper will I need to bleed the whole system or can I just unplug and plug back the brake lines? Thanks so much for all the help:tup:

I was able to find the part numbers for the driver side rear brake caliper as well as rear brake pads for a 2006 fx35.

Rear Brake pads part# 44060-EG085

Driver side rear brake caliper part# 44011-CL70B
