After replacing the battery, the seat on my 2005 FX 35 does not move back when I exit the vehicle.

Is there a seat reset procedure that I need to do?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Did you reprogram the seat memory after replacing the battery? You will need to do that for the easy exit option on the driver's seat to work properly.

I followed the following instructions from the manual.
Ing on. Open and close drivers door twice.
Move all seat, mirrors and steering wheel adjustments to the proper locations.
Press the set button
within 5 seconds push the memory switch (1)

Only issue that I saw was that the manual says the indicator light on the switch should come on for approx 5 seconds. It did not.

Looks like I am out of ideas:mad:

With my seat, the only requirement is that the shift lever is in "P". No open/close door deal. If it's in "P", pushing the forward most of the three buttons (the one without the braille) activates the green light.
You get no green light at all? Maybe its an electrical issue with the memory module...?

Finally gave up on trying to get the seat to move back after replacing the battery.
Called the dealer and made an appointment for tomorrow.
Just went to a Doctor. After arriving at the office I turn the vehicle off and opened the drivers door. The damm seat moved back and the steering wheel moved up.
I cannot explain why I had to drive the FX in order for the seat memory to be activated.
I am keeping the old battery. If I ever change batteries again I will charge the old battery and connect it to the vehicle in some manner to maintain the settings. Not going through this again.
