Preparing to switch my fogs to HID. MY APEXECONE kit from DDM tuning arrived, my KP tech switch module showed up today, my OEM rocker switch should be here sometime this week. The DDM kit looks acceptable but I'm concerned about the bulb quality and I would like to upgrade them. My question, I want the headlight bulbs brand to match the fog bulbs brand, I need a D2s bulb in a 35 watt 5000K and an H8 bulb in a 35 watt 5000K. I'd like both sets of bulbs from a reputable maker/quality name, GE, Phillips, Osram, most resellers carry either one or the other but not both in the same brand. Any ideas on where I go online to purchase them?

I think mtecs seem to match fairly well between the different bulbs.

did u try the mtec ebay seller? when i was looking for led bulbs, mtecs only had 194/168 bulbs availalble.

MTEC, not MTECH. Did you find them in D2S and not H8?
Lots of HID kits available and a fair amount of the halogen HID LOOK bulbs in H8. Trying to find the matching 5000K D2S bulbs it is not going to be easy, maybe in Philips...... Still going to search it out but if the install time arrives before I can locate the 5K's I'll go with what I have and see how it plays out.

Have you found any MTEC in 5000K though? I only saw 4300K, 6000K, 8000K, etc.
Morning Stu-It look like if they normally don't carry the 5000k bulbs and if they rarely do its in an HID kit. Is it me or is the automotive bulb business all over the board? Is this a business opportunity or a commodity business that's finding bottom on its own? Seems like someone could represent major brands and supply their entire range of products MUCH better.
