Rumble/Vibration when slightly pressing the gas

At highway speeds I get a rumble/vibration just as I'm about to let off the gas. If I very slightly have my foot on the gas it occurs, but if I take my foot off the gas it goes away. If I'm cruising normally no vibrations. I was thinking maybe the carrier bearing. Has anyone replaced this? Looks like a pretty big job according to the factory repair manual.

that rumble noise if i"m not mistaken it comes from your exhaust ad the same problem on my 2004 fx35 after driving for 2 or 3 k the heat and pressure in the exhaust builds up and if you step on the gas hard enough you will hear that rumbling noise that means that you have a crack or a hole on your exhaust in my case it was right at the gasket connector on the exhaust muffler

Can you explain in a little more detail the symptoms you were experiencing?

Mine is a vibration/rumble, only when I'm barely pressing the gas at highway speeds. It drives normally otherwise.

I'm thinking that it might be the transfer case. There is a little driveline slack around town. For example, if I am cruising around 45mph and I take my foot off the gas then I reapply the gas I can feel the driveline re-engaging.

Solved! I was changing my brakes and I found the rear wheel bearing to be totally shot. The I could wiggle the wheel. Replaced the bearing now all is good.
