Rotational Squeak from the rear (FX35 2012)

Hi all,

I recently purchased a FX35 2012. It has 70k miles on it.

I noticed that when I drive it at low speeds i hear a rotational squeaking.

the noise appears only when cruising at low speeds (under 30 mph)
the car needs to be running for at least 15 minutes or so (I assume this warms something up that causes it to expand and as a result of expansion something hits something ,, I am clueless when it comes to mechanic stuff tango_face_smile.png)

the noise gets louder as speed slows down and car runs for longer.

I have recorded the noise at 5 mph speed. below is a link to it:

I would really appreciate if you guys can give me some ideas as to what this could be. I took it to a mechanic and he said this could be brakes but when he was inspecting it the noise was very faint as the car was not running for long.

Sounds like the brake pad low indicator tab is rubbing against the rotor. Do you hear it if you ridding on the brake or press on the brake a little that the car still rolling? If not, then it is low brake pads.

Thank you for reply,

I will have to check it and get back to you. But based on what I recall the noise goes down or disappears when I apply the bakes. (I will confirm this again)

Hi,
I tested this. The noise completely disappears when i very slightly apply brakes. Before even the brakes begin to stop the car the sound disappears. Does this mean that it is the pads then?
