Resonator Delete question.

My buddy bought the Invidia Gemini for his first gen and he took our the resonators after the exhaust broke in. it sounds just the bit better that I want for my car. it sound nice and gurgly throughout the whole rpm range. without the resonators it sounds muffled? after 4k rpm. Now all I want to know before i do it to mine. For all you Cali Fx owners. Is this legal and will it pass. I would think it is legal and pass smog because its not the cats or anything. Thanks!

Link to the invidia catback only on my car. I sounds kind of "muffled" as you can hear. This is the sound I am trying to get rid of over 4k rpm. Anyone done a resonator delete on their second gen with Invidia CBE?
