Reset Navigation System

While traveling today, I could not get my nav to show any close locations unless it was in KY, I am in PA. The map showed my location but otherwise the thing was useless. I had the proper zone selected but it would always stick to KY locations. How do I clear all previously saved addresses and such as if it was factory new?

Is there a way to allow me to bypass the safety aspect and set destinations, addresses without being parked? It would help if a passenger could change data while the vehicle is in motion.
