Reviving an old thread with hopes it help others who may run into a stuck wiper arm issue as I had.
I tried loosening up the stubborn wiper arm by applying generous amount of WD40 and tapping it with a small rubber mallet but it wouldn't budge.
Then I remembered I had this old useless - inexpensive upholstery trim removal tool I bought from Harbor Freight a long time ago. I placed a rag over the the circular rubber base of the wiper arm to avoid scratching or damaging the tool point of contact. The reverse scissor action of the tool popped the arm without any damage.
(I already replaced the bolt when I took this picture.)
