replaced intake filter, but exhaust note is not as deep as before

Hi everyone, I bought a Fram rigid intake filter to replaced the really dirty old one. with the new replacement, I could feel the throttle response is better. but the exhaust note is not as deep and loud as before. Is this normal?? Comments are appreciated. Thanks

is that fram a reuseable one?? should pick up a k&n. not sure if that changes anything but you should hear more of a sucking noise under hood, that is the filter drawing air.

not sure if its oil based but my friend said oil based filter like k&n is not really good for the maf as you need to clean off the oil inside in a long term. correct me if im wrong haha..

if it was really plugged up before then it may have sounded deeper because it was being choked, now it's breathing easier & lugging less, working easier so a little less struggling= less exhaust noise, kinda like how the exhaust would be slightly louder & deeper if you was towing something heavy, it would labor more & you'd here it...
