Replace gas pedal, reset ECU?

If one was to remove the gas pedal assembly inside the car and switch it out with a new one, does it require an ECU reset afterwards? Really hoping not to have to do the pedal dance. Thanks!
 
No. Its Just plug & play. If your having throtle problems is probably the throtle. Gas pedal rarely goes bad. Ive done one before on a nissan altima because it was destroyed but. Theres no reprograming.
 
No issues, just finally getting around to swapping out the regular pedal with the stainless version I got from an FX50. Did it last night pretty quickly. I think someone told me awhile back I'd have to do something to reset everything, so that's why I was asking, plus i found instructions on "Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning." No idea what that does exactly.

Anyways, I did that procedure and then did an ECU reset just to see if I could do it. Actually got it right on the first try! Thanks again brother!
