Replace city/clearance lights with LED?

One of my city/clearance lights burnt out and I want to replace them with LEDs. I saw a few threads around but I still have a few questions:

1) Will these LEDs from vleds.com work?
http://www.vleds.com/bulb/194-168-158-led/5k-white-4-led-2w-high-power-bulbs-194-168-158-1-pair.html

2) These just plug straight in, correct? Will I need a resistor or anything else to use these LEDs?

3) Is the back of the headlight covered? I understand they use high voltage but I'd rather not disconnect my battery.

Thanks in advance.

Those will work I'm using the same ones in the link. The just plug straight in no resistor needed. Just twist out the socket, remove the bulb, then put the new one in. Be very careful I've seen someone attempt to put the bulb back in through the hole and the led fell inside the headlight lol.

Yep, agreed with what Aaron said. Those LED doesn't seem to seat very tight on the socket and it can easily fell out of the socket.

The one he provided in the link is the best one that will fit and the brightest. 5K will match pretty decent. They don't make 4300K LEDs so if you want to match change the headlights 5000K.

the led fell inside the headlight

So is there a risk of it falling from vibration as I drive? Also, do I need to disconnect my battery or are the headlight contacts covered on the back so there's no risk of a short?

I had the LED fall inside my marker light when I was trying to install it :eek.: I had to hook a straw up to a vacuum to suck it out of there...

Just did this yesterday, they look beautiful compared to the OEMs for sure, definitely worth under $20 shipped

are there any other brand that would fit without falling out (during driving).
don't want it to get loose and fall inside the headlights

Don't think they would fall in if you install correctly. It sits perpendicular, people that dropped it in there may have bumped it against something while installing. I would think that once it's in, it's in. Or you could put a tiny dab of epoxy there or something, but removal would suck.

I got all my LED's on eBay randomly and they all fit really tightly.
