Recommended new rotors and pads for FX50S. Help!

So slotted skins down the pad and drilled cools it quicker but both have better power??

Yes but both are really pointless and u get worse braking power supposedly because there is less surface area. It's 99.9% for looks, but I think drilled alone look much better and what I see lots of exotics have instead of having slotted. If you really want best stopping power then best to get neither but dam the drilled look so nice!

Just curious, has anyone experienced or had a friend experience a cracked rotor due to having drilled rotors? I've read drilled rotors can be susceptible to being cracked and/or warped more easily than non-drilled rotors especially when in high heat and/or age due to a variety of reasons especially due to weakening of integrity of the rotor (which is why some suggest dimpled rotors).

I plan to bed my brakes, but now I'm a little concerned I may crack or warp them in doing so especially if I'm bedding brakes in every few months like you are supposed to. I really don't want to give away the look of the drilled, but also want to know from you guys if you have ran into these issues with either R1 concept premium or stoptech rotors and/or similar grades.

Regarding drilled rotors... I think that depends on if you are having the OEM rotors drilled (big no no imo) vs. buying slotted/drilled rotors that were designed that way, and of quality workmanship.

I just had a R1concepts rep get back to me and say he recommends to stay away from drilled rotors if I plan to use the brakes even remotely aggressive sometimes. He recommended slots. This is directly from the company http://www.r1concepts.com. I'm not exactly thrilled about the response.

I've had drilled and slotted rotors on 3 differant cars, used them hard, zero problems. (not exspensive ones either) Vast improvment to Nissan/Infinity OEM that warp on like day three of ownership. IMHO
