I need front and rear pads and rotors. Should I stick with OEM Infiniti parts, or is their a cheaper alternative. I don't want to sacrafice performance though. I have purchased generic brake parts for previous vehicles before and the rotors would coat over with rust after sitting for 30 minutes and they only lasted 20k miles. What would you guys recommend?

Cheapest replacement? This is what I did when I had OEM brakes:
Rotor:

Pads:

I'd personally try these out, but haven't:

with their pads:

I would go with the Premium rotors from R1concepts.com

I've used them on 3 cars and recommended them to friends. They are Centric rotors, ecoated, to prevent the rotor hats from rusting. r1concepts.com also has the best prices from what I've seen and their delivery has been quick. First time I tried the metallic pads, but this time around I went with ceramic and am equally pleased (less dust - neither pad ever made noise). Same stuff that tirerack sells, just cheaper price.

My $.02

Stay with OEM/stock pads in the back. I have used a couple different aftermarket pads and the OEM are the quietest and produce the least amount of dust, while stopping just as well as anything on the market. I'm moving back to OEM even though I have aftermarket rotors and lines.

I went back to the OEM Pads and Rotors. If your not going to put a big brake kit on, just stay OEM. OEM brake much better than most on the market, produce low dust, and are quite(well except for in reverse every once in a while)
