Recently got a summer home in Venice Beach

What's up guys my family recently got a summer home in Venice Beach FL. Were at the Grand Paradiso community. Right next to Sarasota and an hour away from Tampa.

Two things:

1) does anyone live around Venice because coming from New York City this place seems very very slow. I was hoping someone might know of good places to go see/hangout.

2) I am planning on driving my FX down here a few times. Hopefully in a week I will be down in FL again. Maybe we can do a meet? Since the weather is absolutely beautiful down there 24/7 it seems..

Congrats on the new place! I am currently down in Naples visiting family. Drove right past Venice the other day when I went to St Petersburg and Tampa. It's definitely slower than NYC here. I haven't left the confines of the air conditioning the entire two weeks!
 
Thank you! And yeah Naples was another spot we were debating on but ended up in Venice. It took me 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee from Dunkin. My blood pressure was getting higher with every passing minute. I am going back next week and I think I may take the Infiniti. This time we took the Lexus RX 330. Well see how my girl does on the long distance
