Rear View Mirror LOOSE

Am I the only one with a shaky rear view mirror?

nope, mine is too, but its from the bass from my subs

Mine is literally falling off. not the piece thats attached to the windshield, but the piece that clips on to it. its not LOCKING into place and its annoying me.

there should be a tiny screw sort of like an allen key, you have to tighten it

yea, pop the plastic cover off & tighten the screw, think it's a t20 torx?

I will look into that. I see the little screw thing but though it was just a piece of plastic.

lol the last car I had i ended up cracking the windshield trying to fix the thing. hope it wont happen this time.

I have a similar problem with my mirror, but the problem appears to only happen, when the car has been sitting under direct sunlight, for a while, and then heats up. At that point, the mirror is very wobbly, but, as I drive, and the car cools down, the mirror retains its solid stature.

Sucks because the dealer claims that they cannot replicate the problem. And, by the time I drive over to them, the mirror seems to fix itself.

Does anyone else experience this?

This was a problem in my 96 Q'45
just kinda screwed it back in..but always went back to how it was all looose.. sorry if no help.. just wanted to throw it out there lol

Just brought my 09 FX50S in for the loose outside mirror problem (vibrating at freeway speeds) As mentioned in this post all they had to do was tighten the 3 screws on each mirror and that took care of the problem.
