It seems no one else has had this problem, and has made a thread. I have what sounds like the same issue Z/G guys have. Here is a thread on it. http://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...diy/428639-clicking-noise-from-rear-axle.html
I may consider taking it in to the dealership if it is a warranty item. Or I might try doing it myself. Anyone else notice something like this? Could it be related to my always using manumatic and downshifting to slow down?

Yep, I found the thread on the ORG. Already emailed my tech about it and the TSB. I think I should reference this thread in the ORG bashing thread.

I dont know the TSB, & it doesnt seem to be written anywhere on my paperwork. Maybe ask the dealer before you bring 'er in.

If this helps, invoice says:

CK FOR NOISE IN REAR OF VEH MAKES A CLICK NOISE
PERFORM TSB REPAIRS REMOVE AXLES AND LUBE WITH SPECIAL GREA
SE TO CORRECT CONCERN

Misc - Body - I0001

Typical G35 sedan. I think they were short on loan cars because we had storms last night. I went in around 5 pm because that's when they were available.

Sorry for the super-bump, but Im not really clear on the TSB deal. Does this axle issue qualify as a powertrain issue? If so, is it covered under the 70K mile powertrain warranty? Has anyone had this service performed beyond the 4yr general warranty period?

Just wondering after doing this to both my rear, does one need to have alignment done?
I asked because i have steering wheel shakes(around 80miles on hwy speed) after the work was done which i never had before?

I wouldn't think that rear axle work would affect the front wheels. However, when I swapped out rotors and pads I suddenly had a front shake like you mentioned, so it does seem that changing stuff can affect the shake.

So you changed both your back rotors and pads, after you had the wheel shakes as well?
I did go to Kal-tire which is our local alignment/tire place, they took a look underneath and told me YES MAYBE it effects the alignment as he mentioned that "it is adjustable" ones. Not sure what he was talking about adjustable wise.

I forgot to mention that i did get my front rotors machined & changed the pads when i got the axles done. Do you think i need an alignment?

What did you do with your wheel shake?

Thanks Stu for the reply.

Yeah, I never had any really noticeable wheel shake until I swapped rotors and pads all around. I do have spacers in the front, and haven't tried taking those off to see if it helps. Just seems weird that everything was fine before.

The shake only happens at high speed and never noticed on lower speed. I will try to take everything apart and re torque even my front spacers to see if these helps, also will look if i lost a weight or two on my rims.
