what up everyone. I just picked up a real carbon trim kit from eBay. Got it today and installed it. I have to say it looks great. It’s real carbon and the fit is better than expected. I will try to take some pics in a few days when we get some sun here in Chicago.

The seller on eBay is ilikecars55. No officiation but good product and a reasonable price I think. Anyone else pick one of these kits up?

Looks great, I see a couple kits on their Ebay page, how much was this kit?

What about the other bigger pieces on the door?

they go on top of the existing panels. They have an option to get ones that go over the wood on the door as well. May get them in a month or so...

Those are really well cut stick-ons then! I've seen a bunch for the 1st Gen FX's that never line up properly, and always show quite a bit of the panels beneath them...

Yeah agree I was a bit apprehensive about it as well sine I did not want it to look like a cheap stuck on kit. The fit is really good.

I have the same kit. If you're open to suggestions....pick up some 1/8' chrome half round tape to cover the seam between the piece that goes over the clock and the piece the goes over the navigation control panel. It'll match the edge along the sides of the gear shift assembly. It makes it look even better. You can pick up the tape on ebay for $10 or so. Good pointers. Any thoughts on the cup holder surround? That is the only place that shows the brown of the wood. Would like to cover that.

I have a little different set up...I have the smooth piano black interior trim so the few gaps that exist don't show up as much as with your wood trim. On my set up I chose to leave the cup holder piece off altogether because it bound up and just didn't look quite right to me, personal pref. Anyway...I'd say try that same half circle chrome tape I recommended around the perimeter of the cup holder. It will crinkle a little at the curves, but not so much that it looks bad. That's what I did around the seat warmer/cooler and snow switch opening. If this doesn't make sense let me know and I'll get a picture posted. Hope this helps.

I'd like to get a pic of that. I was hoping to find a matte carbon finish instead of glossy. And I don't need all the pieces either.
