Rails or No Rails

Need help on this one guys...

My car's at the body shop right now and the orginal plan was to pull the rails and get the roof blacked out.. I'm on the fence now about this one. So..... Go with my original plan like the pic below, or keep the rails and black out the roof and rails?

i like it more without rails..but if you decide to put one.. then black rails definitely. either way it's gonna be great.
 
Looks fine without rails, but it seems like the little bit of a shorter height makes it look longer I guess. Kind of an optical illusion.
 
Looking at your avatar, almost looks like the rails are off and I think that looks great. By getting the roof painted black, I think the rails would definitely need to be black as well, at which point they'd probably get lost in the roof color anyway.
 
@Sydney, I never noticed that on my avatar, it does look like I'm rocking no rails.. Looks clean.. You painted yours right? Do you have any pix?

@bleedingsjuit- Yours is rail less right, looks like it from the pic...
 
On YOUR FX, it looks good w/o rails. But I can't stand seeing 1st Gen FX's w/o rails. Makes them look like station wagons
 
T-Ken is right. I'm not a fan of rail-less. Especially on 1st gen white - makes it look like an egg. And, I prefer black rails over aluminum rails 90% of the time.
But your (Hollywood's) car is different and has been for a while. As it is now, I like the alum rails. With your plans of a black roof and lowering???, I say definately go rail-lesssssss. I'm excited to see your new look.
 
I gotta be honest guys, I'm pretty stoked that you guys are all on board for the rail less look with me. Now I have more people to point the finger at if it ends up looking like sh**! lol, J/k.....

Well, lets hope we're all right and the 2nd gen rail less look is a success.. Worst case scenario, I'm racking up some points on the AMEX for future airline flights.. lol

2 things my man.. 1: I love the name porkandbeans... lol.. 2: I really appreciate this comment. I'v put a lot of time & money on this project and my goal as been to have a really aggressive "clean" look while at the same time keeping the "swagger" that we all love about the FX.. Good to hear that it's being seen that I'm going in the right direction.

I think it looks damn good in that pic, with the black roof and no rails. Can you 'shop a profile shot w/out rails? You won't be able to see the black roof from the side...
 
Didn't think I would like the railless look on your fx due to the fact that I think it's looks bad on the first gens, but that pic looks awesome, def try it out and you can always put them back on if you don't like it in the end
 
Good to hear that everybody is on board for the rail-less look.. Ill post pictures as soon as I get her back from the shop, thanks guys for all the feedback!
