Radio screen not off

I have 2005 FX35. Recently i noticed that when i cut off the engine, the middle control panel stays on even after i remove the key. This happen just recently. i also noticed the this does not happen all the time but when it happens, the steering wheel does not raises up when existing the car. Yet, when the panel turned off, the steering wheel raises up. Any explain and is there an electrical connections between the steering wheel and the panel in the middle?????

Do you have an alarm or remote start system installed? It looks like even if you turn off the ignition, something is holding the voltage active then shuts off. Almost like a turbo timer.
