Hi guys, ever since I bought my FX(year ago) radio reception is a disaster, trying to figure out why this is, with antenna on or off there is practically no difference, tried a different antenna, same result.
My FX does have a shark fin at the back of the roof as well as a normal antenna upfront, as far as I have been able to dig up, this was an option for sattelite radio.
Questions are: is the shark fin for sattelite radio? Is it factory connected? If so, is it interfeering with the normal antenna? Would disconnecting it improve normal reception? Could it have to do with european radio broadcasts(cant imagine how actually)? do other FX owners in europe experience the same problem?
I know, a lot of questions, its just fruststrating to drive such a great car but not not able to hold a station for more than 10 minutes before the reception begins to die out.
Thanks in advance for any useful info
