Raced a GT-R on my way to work this morning... There like civic's down here in Tampa so I see them a lot. We got two titanium ones in the area, one white and a black one. One guy doesn't live that far from me and thats the guy I raced. Of course I got smoked all 4x's. We raced from light to light. The last light he backed up and gave me a two car length lead..and then I moved up and made it a three car lead. Thing flew past me at my 40mph... so he was probably hitting 60 by then! Its amazing to see something like that just move effortlessly. Fastest car I've seen up close drop the hammer was a Z06 so.... This guy goes my route in the morning to work for the most part and then brakes off. Today we just happened to be in front of the pack of traffic. Fun-nest drive to work ever! Find a GT-R and race it!!! You wont regret getting smoked!

I did that last month on my way to Dallas from Austin for Superbowl weekend.
rolled the windows down to hear it pass and man that thing is quick, it was like a snake, sneaking past that light traffic effortlessly. he put a thumbs up and exited at Waxahachie.

lol Im sure the GTR's arent like CIVICS, but there are probably a few of them... I mean, there are two in my town alone (square mile)

Well not like Civic's but u know what I mean... You see everything as soon as it comes out and in numbers down here!

70k if you don't get ripped off, 90k if you bought one when they first came out (ie ripped off)

MSRP of 84k though, so nowadays if you can get away with 75-80k you should be happy :P

Drove one on the track. Pocono's single infield course. Counter-clockwise, come out of the pit onto the front straight, go through turn 1, immediately after turn 2 (tunnel turn) go into the north course infield, and exit onto the front straight right at the beginning of the pits. After a few laps and TAKING IT EASY I hit 165 going through the tunnel turn.

Oh, and to the OP, the GTR is quite a bit faster than a Z06. Same owner of the GTR has a Z06 and I instructed him in both cars and the GTR was definitely faster and a lot more fun. The Z06 I almost wrecked when he pushed me to go faster (because it was more fun for him! ... all I saw was dollar signs scrolling through my head as I almost crashed it)

Well of course the GT-R is faster than the Z06. I was saying thats all I had raced before and seen at full throttle. Trust me the Z06's r no joke! GTR doesnt spank it. It beats it respectfully.

I've seen quite a bit. But then again in the last couple weeks I've seen a lot of cars thanks to TX2K10 and the wealthy old guys living around Kemah.

Had a heads/cam/nitrous Viper blow past me at 163 and climbing hard. He went 9.667 @ 151 earlier that day at the track (1320) lol. I miss that car and it wasn't even mine. The owner now sports an F430 lol.
