Well, I got the new Android screen installed.
Everything seems to be working well so far.
360 cams, speakers, steering controls, AC etc. pretty happy after an initial false start.

but...I have. A question. If I Preece start, without my foot on the brake, the central display in the dash behind steering wheel begins to flicker.
If I actually start the car all looks normal.
I’m wondering what it might be. Any clues?
Cheers

I don't have an answer to your question, but I will be installing mine tomorrow. Did you get the Phoenix Automotive unit? did you have to use a canbus module? Mine didn't have any instructions and the video they gave me to watch was horrible.

Interested to hear your feedback on audio quality from the new system.

Installed this screen this morning. Still programming but everything works except TPMS displaying psi. Around view camera works, but view not as clear as before. Still playing with in though and will eventually figure it out. Audio quality seems same as before.

Hi, can you give us the reference and where you bought your android screen. And what about the sound, any improvement ?

thanks
Marc

Update to earlier post. My initial impression of the screen stated that everything worked except for the TPMS displaying psi. My impressions changed after driving the vehicle. The TPMS does display psi while driving, but that became one of the few bright spots. below are some pros and cons from my perspective.
Pros: Fits well in dash and provides an updated modern look (subjective)
Startup screen has nice clear graphics and screen resolution
Sound quality not impacted after installation

Cons: No Install instructions provided; I watched a couple of videos and managed to figure it out,
Poor rear view camera view in shade; worst in sunlight
Screen, except home page difficult to see in sunlight
Sound cut out a few times, briefly (annoying)
Slow transition between apps
More difficult to place phone calls with system
Temperature display remained constant at 30 degrees C; would not change to Fahrenheit or display correct temperature despite setting change.
Uploading apps, especially navigation was either slow or would not work
Hazard lights would not work

My main reason for purchasing and installing this screen was the ability to get an updatable navigation system. I found out that I would have to always use internet to facilitate this, so it was inconvenient. I did not find this to be a suitable upgrade. Unfortunately, the cons were just too much for me, and the safety issues (no hazard lights, difficult to see rear view camera) made it a no brainer to remove the system. I have since reinstalled the more user friendly factory system, will get the final navigation update, and hopefully something better will spark my interest when the "customization bug" hits me again.

NOTE: This post is just my assessment. I am not trying to dissuade or persuade anyone, either way with reference to this system.

Are you able to see the tire pressure reading on that new unit?
I heard that was one of the issues.

I have the system in my garage after removing it, I will not reinstall, so it is free to anyone who wants it. Naturally, you will have to pay shipping, but, I don't think the cost will be a lot. FREE, that was not a typo!!!

Yep that’s the problem I have found . In order to make the system sound better the best way is to bypass the amps , install a aftermarket head unit with low input or rca jacks then you will be able to do the full system which would include running new wires to all speakers that way all low input come from the aftermarket unit to the amps and then from amps to speakers.no interference from the internal Infiniti system. I wouldn’t mess with the Infiniti wiring because it is all integrated meaning the head unit is not just a radio it’s also AC, Heater, CD, defogger, Navigation ETC .

Whats is your contact info please?

What was ur issue with the system. I have the 12.1 unit from phoenix automotive. Ithe ac controls dont work and my ac constantly blows...smh
See post # 7 earlier in the thread. I uninstalled the system the same day I installed it after a brief drive.

What year u have and mine is a 2012 Fx50. I was thinking of getting the 13.6. I have to 12.1 and I have no AC controls. AC just constantly blows air. Phoenix told me it wasn’t compatible with my vehicle
I have a 2011. I don't think there was that was any differences between the ac controls of a 2011 vs 2012, so I cant see why it would not work.
