Quick Engine Pics with Takeda 350z Intake

Thought I would snap a few quick pics even though my car is dirty. I just purchased a Takeda Powdercoated Black Intake (for a 350z) and installed it on my FX. Fits great! I chose it because I like the throttle response of a short ram better than the stock box and this particular intake has a built in velocity stack at the end unlike the fujitas, injens, etc. Anyway I'm pleased with it. Also Takeda is made by AFE. The part# is Takeda TR-3001B if anyone cares.

question tho: that filter isn't a bit too stubby? or might be the shorten intake tube?

Looking very nice. Intake looks good. I like the black. What does the velocity stack do? Just curious.

I believe the wider the opening the less turbulence in the air flow...Any bigger filter and it wont fit. It's larger than the Fujita

Looks good. Do the support tabs line up anywhere? In other words, how is it supported, or is it just sitting there?

Yes the support tab lines up perfect with the intake manifold tab. It's secured and not moving at all.

I know with the Stillen, It gets a little raspy at full WOT. not too bad, but sounds like its screaming

Are you planning on making an enclosure for the intake/filter? Sitting out in the open like that, the intake charge is warm/hot and likely negates any gains.
