Question about the ARK exhaust

Het guys!

I just bought a 2012 infiniti FX35 limited edition and i love it, however i am really loving the ARK exhaust. and i just wanted to ask you guys about it, is there a loud drone? does it get annoying sometimes? did it cause any rattling inside of the car?

Hey man Congrats! Welcome to IS! A couple of the guys on this website have said that it is great and much better than the Invidia exhaust. More importantly let's see some pictures of your car! You have good taste my friend.
 
Congrats on the LE, welcome to the LE club. I have the ark exhaust and I love it but it is loud and does drone. If your thinking of getting it Pm lerry@arkperformance on here and he will hook you up.

I have the invidia exhaust (because I got a great deal on it) and it's really only "loud" from 1st-4th gear. Quiets down after that considerably.

Not sure if the ARK is the same? You'll love the sound either way, I find myself letting my 1st and 2nd Gears rev up a little to hear the sexiness.

And it will turn heads when they hear because not many people expect that sound from an Infiniti SUV.... Or it's because it sounds like you're doing 50 in a 20 ;)

Yup the Ark is only loud from 1st to the 4th as well. Doesn't drone at freeway speeds
 
Thanks so much guys! I had a 2010 camaro and I installed a Borla exhaust and the rattle killed me!! the speakers were shaking, the rear windshield made noise, drone gave me headaches lol so i changed it to an MRT exhaust and it was Waaaaay better. Thats why i was asking about the exhausts for this car. I saw a couple videos on youtube on the ARK and they sound absolutely beautiful! guess I'm going to do a little more research but ill keep you guys updated!

I mean, I get no rattling in the FX. The only "rattle you get" is when you step on the gas and hear the pipes spit out something sexy

Don't get me wrong, the camaro is a great car, but it's parts are also cheap IMO. Night and day compared to the FX.

I completely agree about the cheap parts! I think I'm getting the ARK soon. :good::good::good:
 
I have been doing a lot of research on the Invidia and ARK exhausts. I have been saving my sheckels for one. This may have been covered somewhere already, but which one is more quiet overall? It sounds like they are both loud from 1-4 gear (which I'm not worried about), I am just wanting to know which one is more quiet overall. Do either of them "pop" when you let off? Again, sorry if this has been covered.
 
Naw they don't pop. When I was buying I heard the Ark and the Invidia in person and the Ark won hands down in terms of sound and quality. The Ark has that throaty g37 vq note but louder.

I appreciate the response RIPnFX. That is the exact sound I am looking for. I LOVE that classic Infiniti sound that they have. They both sound good but by reading more and more on here, I think the ARK is for me even though it is a little more $$. I figure if Im spending this much already, I might as well spring for what I really want. I have found a few more threads on here about both. From reading, it looks like the scale tips a little more in the ARK favor. But there are a lot of folks who swear up and down on the Invidia. Personal preference I suppose. I look forward to getting one on order and it sounds like Larry is the man to talk to. I will def post pics!
 
I think this will be my next purchase...before or after wheels though I can't decide.

Are there any comparisons out there between this and the HKS?
 
Ark so far is my favorite. I listend to a bunch of different exahust and I went with ARK and dont regret it at all.

My friend your video made me to prepare my VISA card, so I'm literally browsing the web to get one now:)
Could you please upload a video how it sounds from inside (when ever you have free time of course).
Also is there an option when it comes with regular polished tips? Not a fan of "burned" style tips.

Pm Lerry@arkperformance on here when you want to buy and he will hook you up. Regarding the tips they only come in burnt or techno tips. I will try to get a video up soon, hopefully this weekend.
