puddle light installation wiring diagram help needed

Im installing the puddle lights and need help setting up a SPDT ON/ON switch to control the light with either ACC PWR or Domes light power.
i wrote this in another area of the forum, hoping i can get help here also.
this is what i want to achieve with jumbosrule quote.

you could tap a second wire to ACC PWR and add a manual two-way switch. One position would turn on the puddle lights no matter what the dome light is doing and the other position would tie it to dome light operation.

this is my stretch diagram so far, do i need to add a relay for the 12v ACCc PWR? hate to have lights on all the time even when i turn engine off.

here is a diagram i found for motorcycle similar setup different sources of power

12v from battery= ACC PWR ,source of switched power = domes light
Is TERMINAL #1 = red wire for light?
any benefit having relay before or after the switch? If someone could show how to put a single relay instead of 2 seperate relays would be great.

do i need to a relay to the 12v ACC PWR also, or will i only get power when i turn the ignition to acc pwr?
the relay from the OP is running to the domes and white wire going to ?
