POWERSTOP Brake Kits - Any Reviews? How good are they?

Members here had success with Hawk pads but I never tried so I can't comment. I got mine through rockauto and I was somewhere around that, can't beat it.

Thanks for you help. I am going to research it some more Probably go with the Power Stop K4477-26 1-Click Street Warrior Z26 Brake Kit unless I can find something comparable in price that's better performance without changing out the calipers

Yes got the kits you describe - drilled rotors and all for my 2004 FX35. Relatively easy DIY for all four wheels. Just a little time consuming. Been working great for the last two years. No squealing.

Hey thanks for response! Any issues with warping ? I had a similar but same Powerstop pads and rotor set on my 2004 and eventually swapped them out for plain centric rotors because the vibration from either bad pads or warped routers after about 2 years.

Amazon has 10% off right now on the Powerstop Kits. Ended up ordering the Power Stop K4477-26 1-Click Street Warrior Z26 Brake Kit for $314 shipped :good:

I wanted to provide an update on the Powerstop Z26 brake setup. It's been about 1.5 yrs and 22k miles with 90% highway. The slotted & x-drilled rotors are holding up well - no cracks or warping. I think the stopping power is way better than stock but seems like the longevity is forfeited with these pads. Current thickness of the pads are 6mm/4mm front/rear.

Is it me or does that seem like a relatively fast wear for mostly highway driving?
The next set of pads I am looking at is either Hawk Performance Ceramic or Akebono Performance Ultra Premium Ceramic. Any feedback would be great or recommendations for other pads.
Thanks.

Just placed an order for the power stop street warrior z26 front brake kit part # k5264-26 for $194.66 delivered to my door. Amazon had it for $200.25 but wouldn't arrive until Monday with prime, so i checked summitracing who had it for $195.97 with free shipping, but theyre not in California, so I went with autoanything who beat summitracing by their price match policy and i placed my order. I should be getting it by Friday since they reside in CA.
Looking forward to the install.

When I did my Infiniti BBK upgrade I went with the PowerStop Evolution kits front & rear....so far so good. No complaints. Wound up getting both the kits from PartsTrain.com Kind of an oddball site but with the 5% discount they offered & free shipping/no tax, they came out to be the cheapest.
