Hi,
This is my first post here:tonguey:
I need some help with electric wiring.
I want to install Angel lights and power them up from 2 different sources(ignition positive wire and interior lights power). I want them to turn on when I open the car with FOB(interior lights "DOOR ON" switch is ON) and keep them on when the engine is running. I want to use Bosch relay, but need some help with wiring. I attached the picture with wiring, I'm not completely sure if it's right.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You:iS:
PS Sorry for my English

that won't work... the way you have it wired it will only come on when the ignition is on AND the door is open... I don't have time to draw it up for you right now, will do it a bit later but you will need a few diodes too, to keep one circuit from backfeeding the other, IE,interior light powering the ign circuit or vice versa... but can be done with one relay as long as the door trigger is positive..

Please, when you do have time would you post that drawing for me(I'm not in a hurry).Googled that wiring all day, didn't find any info.
I would really appreciate that.
Thank You

PS Really enjoying the work you do(turbocad's corner)

thanks :)

ok, since your going to want them to come on when you open a door, even if the ign is off, then your INPUT will need to be battery power. so terminal 30 is batt+

your ground on terminal 86 & output on terminal 87 is fine as is...

then we come to your trigger... that's terminal 85 in this case... how this works is any + power on the input term 86 will trip the relay and the angels will power up... for the most part it's as simple as just running ign power AND interior lt power both to term 86, but if you did that then every time you opened a door your ignition would come on (then the int light fuse would blow) & every time you turned your ignition on your interior lights would come on and stay on, because you have connected these 2 circuits together at term 86, so what you need to do is use a diode at each one of these feeds...

a diode is an electrical one way check valve... it will allow the power to go TO terminal 86 but it will stop power that is back fed from the other circuit at term 86. one diode in each line, one in line with the ign feed & one in line with the interior feed & you'll be all set... a standard 1A diode would do just fine...

Another option is to look on Ebay under angel eyes wiring and there is a relay harness for BMW that does what you need for $19 free shipping

thanks :)

Thank you very much for your help. Just want to make sure that this kind will work:

Looks awesome!! I have puddle lights wired this way as well, so I see where I can get one power source now. However where is your second source from, for the ignition feed?

Is it the red wire in the fuse box that we had to tap into for the relay?
