Hi everyone, just purchased some new wheels yesterday and before I put them on, I want to apply a permanent ceramic coating to them.. I've seen lots of info on CQuartz and Opti-Coat, however it doesn't seem like either of these are actually permanent.. I've seen articles people wrote about the cquartz peeling off after a couple years and looking horrible, like a bad sunburn.. Can anyone confirm/refute this? I feel like it would be a bitch to clean and reapply once it wears off in a few years..

It seems like a lot of the permanent solutions need to be applied at a professional's shop, and as I'm just doing my new wheels - that seems a bit overkill for me and I'm pretty confident in my DIY skills..

I found this product yesterday and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it? Always Dry 9H-LDC

Why not use a good wheel sealant.
I apply it once or twice a year and it really makes it easier to keep clean and does repel a lot of the brake dust.
My favourite wheel sealant is Poorboys Wheel Sealant http://Poorboys wheel sealant I have used it for years.
Here is a pic of my Enkeis that I used Poorboys on for almost 6 years, they were like new, I always did the inside barrels as well as the outside. I never ran them in the winter. I do put the same sealant on my other vehicles winter and summer wheels.

Thank you for the advice! This is my first 'nice' car so I'll definitely be diligent about keeping this clean

@FXMontreal - that's a great resource, thanks for sharing!

@GEE50FX - those do look brand new! I'll have to pick up some of that sealant!
