People with towing questions

I notice people asking about towing with modded FXs on here all the time.I have a Yamaha Rhino 660 side by side(1050 lbs) which I usually take places to ride with my Z71 pulling a 14 ft trailor.Well since I have wondered and many people ask on here I decided to leave the Z71 in the driveway and use the FX.It did fine just like it should of but I wasnt for sure so I did it.Took it out of auto for I could eliminate overdrive. My Fx is AWD with H&Rs and 22by9 wheels.Springs have been installed for about 7 months. If you are lowered you will need to get a drop hitch and flip it, because of clearence issues with trailor jack. Before flipping the hitch the jack on the trailor was about 2 inches from the ground.285/40 Tires also

Thank you for posting this. Appreciate it as I have asked this question several times. I'm also looking at picking up a load leveling hitch just to keep the rear from squatting so bad, and to also solve the height problem.

I've owned my FX45 for 3yrs and have towed plenty with it. The current setup is 22's with H&R springs all around. My front springs are cut 1/2 coil to give the front end a tad amount of rake. Some of the items I've towed are my enclosed 8ft enclosed motorcycle trailer and my 16ft Seadoo boat. The car's never had issuse with towing. However, I do notice the back end squats when towing the boat but not so much that the hitch has issues with ground clearance. If you two are having ground clearance issues, I would strongly recommend getting an adjustable height tow hitch.
